Play with Clay
Do you want to make your own amazing clay creations from scratch? Book a Play with Clay session and have a go at hand building and painting your own clay masterpiece.

We will show you a range of clay hand building techniques and tips, and you can create whatever your imagination desires. You can also paint your clay piece on the same day with our special glazes!
This is a self led session for ages 8 and up. We have lots of great examples for inspiration, plus tools and equipment to use. Our staff will be on hand to give you guidance but what you make is entirely up to you!

How Much does it Cost?
These sessions are £24 per person
This includes 650g clay, use of our equipment painting, glazes and firing.
FAQ's
When can I book?
Sessions are available to book during the day. Weds & Thurs from 12pm to 3pm and Fri - Sun from 10am to 3pm. Your session is for a maximum time of 3 hours and includes making and painting your clay creations in the same session. Please note there may be certain dates when we have special events and/or workshops running when Play with Clay booking will not be available.
Can I just turn up on the day?
Like all of our activities, Play with Clay sessions must be booked in advance. We require a £10 table booking deposit to be paid to secure the table. This will then come off your total bill on the day. Enquire here.
Can I use more clay?
You can buy more clay if needed during your session for an additional £10 per 650g.
What age is the session suitable for?
Our Play with Clay sessions are suitable for ages 8 years upward. Under 11’s must be accompanied by an assisting adult.
How long will it take for collection?
Finished pieces will be ready within 4-5 weeks. We will call you to let you know when your pieces ready for collection.

Can I use the Potter’s Wheels?
Play with Clay sessions are for hand building only. We also offer Potter's Wheel Sessions and Wednesday Clay Evening Sessions.
